Clear Aligner Treatment

Invisalign

Straighter teeth without brackets or wires. Invisalign uses a series of custom clear aligners to move your teeth gradually and precisely. At Transcend, your treatment is planned and monitored by a specialist orthodontist, with a focus on adult orthodontics.

How It Works

Clear Aligners, Precise Movement

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, removable clear aligners that fit over your teeth. Each set is worn for about one to two weeks, gently shifting your teeth into their planned positions. You remove them to eat, brush, and floss, then put them back in.

Treatment begins with digital scanning, no messy impressions. From those scans, your orthodontist uses ClinCheck, Invisalign's treatment simulation software, to map the precise movement of each tooth from start to finish. You can see a virtual preview of your projected result before treatment even begins.

Each aligner is manufactured from that digital plan, so the entire sequence is engineered from the start, not adjusted appointment by appointment.

Your Orthodontist

Dr. Dalia Taher

Certified Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics

Dr. Taher is a certified specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, with a practice focused on adult orthodontics. Her approach combines precision treatment planning with a focus on how orthodontic movement supports the patient's broader smile goals, not just alignment in isolation.

At Transcend, Dr. Taher works alongside our prosthodontist and periodontist, coordinating care for patients who need orthodontics as part of a smile makeover, reconstruction, or implant plan.

Why It Matters

Why See a Specialist Orthodontist

Any dentist can offer Invisalign. An orthodontist brings years of additional specialty training in how teeth, bone, and the bite work together, and that expertise shapes the quality of your result.

Specialty Training

An orthodontist completes two to three years of additional training beyond dental school, focused entirely on tooth movement, bite correction, and facial development. This depth of knowledge matters, especially for complex cases.

Better Treatment Planning

An orthodontist doesn't just align teeth cosmetically. They evaluate how your bite functions and plan movement that supports long-term stability. This means fewer refinements and a more predictable outcome.

Coordinated Care

At Transcend, our orthodontist works alongside our prosthodontist and periodontist. If your alignment is part of a broader plan involving veneers, crowns, or implants, the specialists coordinate from the start.

Technology

A Fully Digital Workflow

Digital Scanning

No impressions trays or putty. We capture your teeth digitally with a handheld scanner. Fast, comfortable, and far more accurate than traditional methods.

ClinCheck Simulation

Your orthodontist uses ClinCheck to plan the movement of each individual tooth, stage by stage. You see a 3D simulation of the projected outcome before committing to treatment.

Custom Aligners

Each aligner is manufactured from your digital plan, engineered for the specific movement it needs to achieve. You receive multiple sets at each visit and change them on a schedule.

Progress Monitoring

Periodic check-ins every 6 to 8 weeks ensure everything is tracking as planned. If adjustments are needed, your orthodontist refines the plan, keeping your result on course.

Common Questions

Good to Know

How long does Invisalign take?

Most treatments range from 6 to 24 months, depending on complexity. Minor corrections can be faster. Our orthodontist will give you a realistic timeline based on your specific case during your complimentary consultation.

How is Invisalign different from braces?

Invisalign uses removable clear aligners instead of fixed brackets and wires. You take them out to eat and clean your teeth. They're virtually invisible and generally more comfortable. For complex cases, braces may still be the better option. Our orthodontist will recommend what suits your situation.

Will people notice I'm wearing them?

The aligners are clear and custom-fitted to your teeth. Most people won't notice unless you point them out, making them a popular choice for professionals and adults who want a discreet option.

How often do I need to come in?

Typically every 6 to 8 weeks. Check-ins are quick. We monitor progress, provide your next sets of aligners, and make any adjustments. We respect your time and keep visits efficient.

Can Invisalign be part of a bigger smile plan?

Often, yes. Straightening teeth first can mean more conservative preparation for veneers or crowns later, preserving more natural tooth structure. Our orthodontist and prosthodontist coordinate this from the start.

Is the consultation really complimentary?

Yes. Your Invisalign consultation includes a full evaluation of your teeth and bite, a discussion of whether Invisalign is the right approach for you, and a recommended treatment plan, at no charge.
