Dr. Faraj Edher

Dr. Edher grew up in Vancouver and, from the very beginning, has been driven by uncompromising quality in everything he does. He graduated top of his dental class at the University of Sharjah, was awarded the Most Outstanding Student Award, and founded one of the largest dental student associations in the world, taking it to an international level. He returned home to Vancouver to complete his Master's in Craniofacial Sciences and clinical specialization in Prosthodontics at the University of British Columbia, again finishing at the top of his program, and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Since 2017, Dr. Edher has practiced as a full-time clinician across British Columbia, treating thousands of patients and pioneering the integration of digital technology into clinical workflows. He has published in some of the most respected journals in dentistry, contributed to textbooks, and continues to be invited to speak at national and international conferences.
Along the way, he saw a gap: the standard of care, the patient experience, the way specialists collaborated. It could all be better. In 2022, he founded Transcend Specialized Dentistry.

Why Transcend Exists
As patients began traveling from across the province, and eventually from across the country and internationally, to see Dr. Edher for treatment, it became clear that the right space needed to match the level of care being delivered.
Transcend was designed from the ground up as a destination clinic. Multiple specialists under one roof. An in-house dental laboratory for complete quality control. The best available technology, not as a marketing talking point, but as a tool to deliver more precise, more predictable results. And an experience that reflects the care and intention behind everything that happens here.

Transcend is more than a dental practice. In the same building, Dr. Edher founded the BC Dental Study Club, now Canada's largest, where thousands of dentists come every year to learn advanced techniques, digital workflows, and a higher standard of care.
This isn't a side project. It's central to who we are. The same drive for innovation and excellence that shapes the education we deliver to dentists is what shapes the care we deliver to patients. Transcend is where that standard is set, practiced, and taught. A hub for innovation, education, and the example we believe the dental industry should follow.
