Dr. Edher is a Specialist in Prosthodontics who uses advanced digital technologies alongside an unparalleled attention to detail and precision in order to deliver high quality smile makeovers and reconstructions for his patients.
He is a world-renowned educator and speaker, having lectured to and trained thousands of his colleagues across Canada and abroad. Dr. Edher is the founder and mentor of Canada’s largest dental study club (BC Dental Study Club), and the Clinical Director of a global educational organization (Digital Dentistry Institute).
Dr. Edher is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia, where he teaches for the dental undergraduate program, and the postgraduate prosthodontics and periodontics programs.
Dr. Edher received his Masters in Craniofacial Science and Postgraduate Speciality training in Prosthodontics at the University of British Columbia, where he graduated top of his class in 2017. Prior to that, Dr. Edher received his dental degree from the University of Sharjah, where he graduated top of his class with high distinction in 2014.
With a clinical and research focus on the utilization of digital technology in dentistry, Dr. Edher aims to enhance the predictability and efficacy of complex implant reconstructions, aesthetic rehabilitations, and smile makeovers.
In addition to clinical work, Dr. Edher has a passion for education as he is a Clinical Assistant Professor and guest lecturer at the University of British Columbia, as well as an author and co-author of numerous publications on digital dentistry and dental implants. His clinical and research interests focus on the utilization of digital technology to enhance the predictability and efficacy of complex implant reconstructions and aesthetic rehabilitations.
He regularly gets invited to give presentations, seminars, and workshops, both locally and globally, on a range of different topics. These topics include generalized and specialized presentations focusing on digital dentistry, implant dentistry, treatment planning, and aesthetic rehabilitation.
Dr. Edher is the Founder and Mentor of Canada’s largest study club, the BC Dental Study club, with over 1000 members.
Dr. Edher is also the Director of the Digital Dentistry Institute, a global educational organization that conducts comprehensive training programs in digital dentistry and implant dentistry.

Dr. Edher is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and an active member of the American College of Prosthodontists, Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, and the Canadian Association of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics.
Dr. Edher strives to provide his patients with the best quality dental care by not compromising on quality and utilizing the latest digital technologies in his practice. Dr. Edher bestows an unparalleled attention to detail and precision in the artistry of his work as he transforms smiles, and in turn, the quality of life and confidence of his patients.
Outside of his passion for dentistry and education, Dr. Edher engages in various physical pursuits, in particular water sports and boxing. He also loves to travel and immerse himself in different cultures and adventures around the world.
Dr. Edher is also a Web3 enthusiast as his drive to learn as much about the digital metaverse and innovative technologies as possible does not stop at digital dentistry. Dr. Edher is a firm believer in embracing change and improving every day.
In his downtime, Dr. Edher can be found spending quality time with his family or watching The Office for the hundredth time as he will contest with anyone who tries to disagree that it is the greatest show ever made. Thankfully, he runs his clinic nothing like Michael Scott ran his office.
Dr. Tarzemany is a specialist in Periodontics and the Director of the Graduate Periodontics Program at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
Dr. Tarzemany’s meticulous approach to periodontics and surgery is thoughtful and evidence based. She focuses on periodontal health, gum grafting & bone grafting, dental implants, in addition to other periodontal surgical and non surgical procedures.
Dr. Rana Tarzemany received her dental degree from Azad Tehran Dental School, and completed her graduate studies in the field of combined PhD and Diploma in Periodontics at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She is a certified periodontist, a Fellow of Royal College of Dentists of Canada FRCD(C), and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery (DABP).
Dr. Tarzemany has received outstanding recognition and academic achievements for her research which centers around the molecular mechanisms of wound healing and scar formation.
In 2015, she was the first ever Canadian to win the highly prestigious international Volpe Competition that recognizes the best periodontal research from the US, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
Dr. Tarzemany has also been the recipient of numerous prestigious national and international awards including Joseph Tonzetich Fellowship (2012, 2013 and 2014), B.W. Leung Award (2015), Dr. Donald M. Brunette Award (2016) for academic excellence within UBC Faculty of Dentistry, and the Osteology Education Grant for participation in the Osteology Research Academy, Harvard School of Dental Medicine (2016).
Dr. Tarzemany is currently the Director of the Graduate Periodontics Program at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia (UBC). This leadership role allows her to oversee the postdoctoral educational program for advanced specialty training in periodontics.
Dr. Tarzemany has been with the UBC Faculty of Dentistry since 2010, began her teaching career in 2014, and graduated with a combined PhD and Diploma in Periodontics in 2018. She has also continued her research, focused on molecular biology of oral wound healing, resulting in several publications in peer-reviewed journals, and winning many national and international awards, including the prestigious Volpe Prize.

During her three-year surgical residency at UBC, Rana gained valuable didactic and clinical training in all aspects of periodontal and implant surgeries. Her ultimate goal, as a researcher-clinician, is to make a more meaningful translation of bench-top research into clinical application..
In addition, Rana has authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals, and presented her research findings in various conferences within Canada and internationally.
In her spare time, Dr. Tarzemany likes to spend time with family and friends, enjoying various culinary pursuits, baking, and engaging in thought-provoking discussions around the world, politics, literature, and above all, poetry.
Dr. Gebril is a Specialist in Prosthodontics and Full-time Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia. He is focused on rehabilitating failing dentitions with dentures and state-of-the-art implant solutions. He applies his expertise to treat every patient with full attention and care to provide his patients with healthy and aesthetic smiles. Dr. Gebril strives to create a collaborative network with our dental partners in the community for implant rehabilitation by offering support starting from the planning stage to the final prosthetics. Dr. Gebril is a Full-time Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia. He is involved in didactic teaching, clinical education and research on both graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. Gebril maintains a prosthodontist position in private practice at Transcend along with his teaching, research and clinical supervision duties where he provides prosthodontic treatment for his patients.
Dr. Gebril received his Master’s in Craniofacial Science and post-graduate specialty training in Prosthodontics at the University of British Columbia, his dental degree from Alexandria University and his master’s in biomedical engineering from Western University. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Prosthodontics.
Dr. Gebril is a Full-time Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia. He is involved in didactic teaching, clinical education and research on both graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. Gebril maintains a prosthodontist position in private practice along with his teaching, research and clinical supervision duties where he provides prosthodontic treatment for his patients. Beside the clinical application of digital dentistry, Dr. Gebril has focused research in the field of digital dentistry and its application in prosthodontics and implant dentistry.

Dr. Gebril utilizes the latest technology in his clinical practice to assure accurate treatment planning and treatment outcome for his patients. Dr. Gebril is also involved in continuing education on both national and international levels with different courses in digital dentistry and prosthodontics.
In his downtime, Dr. Gebril enjoys working out, reading a book and listening to jazz music. Dr. Gebril spends his free time with his family and friends.
Dr. Taher is a certified specialist in the field of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, with a focus on adult orthodontics. Her practice encompasses a comprehensive range of treatment options, from the time-tested traditional braces to the subtlety of clear braces and clear aligner. The selection of the most suitable method is based entirely on individual needs and preferences.
Dr. Taher’s passion lies in addressing multidisciplinary cases, where a collaborative approach involving dentists and various specialists is essential. This effort is aimed at tailoring precise treatments and crafting smile designs that fulfill each patient’s aspirations. Leveraging state-of-the-art 3D imaging and scanning for careful treatment planning, along with computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques, ensuring the creation of custom orthodontic appliances that seamlessly blend into a patient’s lifestyle.
Dr. Daila Taher is a certified specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (MSc. Ortho). Earning her Canadian board certification was a defining milestone as she completed the Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Program in Orthodontics at the esteemed Faculty of Dentistry, University of British Columbia. This comprehensive training paved the way for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada FRCD (c) Ortho—an accolade that underscores her proficiency and dedication to advancing orthodontic excellence and patient-centered care.
Dr. Taher’s commitment to education and mentorship is evident in her role as a former clinical instructor at UBC Dentistry. Teaching was always an important component of her professional life. Subsequently, she transitioned to private practice, where she continued to demonstrate a deep-rooted commitment to patient’s well-being and transformative orthodontic treatment.
As a member of various professional organizations, including the BC Dental Association, British Columbia Association of orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the World Federation of Orthodontists and with more than two decades of dedicated service as an orthodontist, she remains at the forefront of advancing orthodontic practices and evolving technology.

Dr. Taher’s clinical focus and passion is on adult orthodontics and multidisciplinary cases which involves teamwork with the dentist and other specialists. The field which has seen significant advancements and a growing demand in recent years.
