Dr. Faraj Edher

Dr. Faraj Edher is a specialist in Prosthodontics and the founder of Transcend Specialized Dentistry. Recognized as a leader in smile makeovers, cosmetic dentistry, and full-mouth rehabilitation, he has transformed the smiles of thousands of patients from across Canada and around the world.
Dr. Edher grew up in Vancouver and earned his dental degree from the University of Sharjah, graduating top of his class with the Most Outstanding Student Award. He returned home to complete his Master's in Craniofacial Science and specialty training in Prosthodontics at UBC — again finishing at the top of his program. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a key opinion leader and advisor to leading companies in the dental industry.
An industry leader in digital dentistry, Dr. Edher integrates the most advanced technologies into every aspect of patient care — from virtual jaw tracking and digital smile design to guided implant surgery and in-house lab workflows. He founded Transcend Lab, an in-house dental laboratory that allows complete control over the craftsmanship, quality, and customization of every restoration.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Edher is the founder of the BC Dental Study Club — Canada's largest — where he teaches and mentors thousands of dentists across North America. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UBC, has published in leading journals, contributed to textbooks, and lectures at national and international conferences. His commitment to advancing the profession is inseparable from the standard of care at Transcend.
Dr. Rana Tarzemany
Periodontist

Dr. Rana Tarzemany is a specialist in Periodontics and the Director of the Graduate Periodontics Program at the University of British Columbia — overseeing the training of the next generation of periodontists. She is one of the few periodontists in Canada to hold both a PhD and a clinical diploma in Periodontics.
Her clinical expertise includes gum grafting, bone grafting, dental implants, laser therapy, and both surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatment. Her approach is meticulous, evidence-based, and focused on long-term outcomes.
Dr. Tarzemany's research in molecular mechanisms of wound healing has earned international recognition, including becoming the first Canadian to win the prestigious Volpe Prize — the highest honor in periodontal research across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Dalia Taher
Orthodontist

Dr. Dalia Taher is a certified specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, with a focus on adult orthodontics. She completed the Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Program in Orthodontics at UBC and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
With over two decades of experience, Dr. Taher's clinical passion is multidisciplinary cases — where orthodontic treatment is coordinated with other specialists to achieve a result that no single provider could deliver alone. She utilizes 3D imaging, digital scanning, and computer-aided design for precise, customized treatment planning.
Dr. Taher offers the full range of orthodontic options — traditional braces, ceramic braces, and Invisalign clear aligners — and recommends the approach that will give each patient the best result. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the World Federation of Orthodontists.
Dr. Marijana Eic
Prosthodontist

Dr. Marijana Eic is a specialist in Prosthodontics who brings a unique depth of perspective — having practiced as a general dentist for over a decade before pursuing specialty training. That experience gives her an understanding of patient care that goes beyond the specialist's chair.
She utilizes modern adhesive techniques to provide minimally invasive dentistry with a focus on restoring function and creating beautiful results. Her approach emphasizes preserving natural tooth structure whenever possible — intervening only where it makes a meaningful difference.
Dr. Eic earned her DDS with honours from the University of Toronto and completed her three-year Advanced Prosthodontics residency at UBC, including a Master's in Craniofacial Science. She received multiple awards during her training, including the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada Award for Academic Achievement. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and an active member of the American College of Prosthodontists.
